Parkhill, Smith & Cooper served as a subconsultant to Walter P. Moore & Associates in the relocation of the City of El Paso Traffic Management Center (TMC). This project was recently awarded the ACEC Texas Engineering Excellence: Gold Medal (Building/Technology Systems), 2017 and ACEC National Engineering Excellence: Award of Recognition, 2017. The success of establishing an interim facility in less than two weeks also earned the project recognition at the 2014 Intelligent Transportation Society of America Texas Chapter’s annual conference.

In 2013, a new AAA baseball stadium was approved for the El Paso Chihuahas. The selected site included City Hall and the TMC. A new TMC was designed as well as a relocation of all city fiber optic systems connecting to El Paso’s IT Network Center. The project was completed in February 2016.
